Life and Times
Agatha was born in 1890. As a young lady she enjoyed roller skating on the Princess Pier. She married Archibald Christie in 1914. She had a daughter Rosalind in 1919. After her first marriage broke down she married Max Mallowan in 1930. They bought Greenway House in 1938, just a short time before the war. Agatha was made a Dame of the British Empire in 1971. She lived to the great age of 87.
