If Music Be the Food of Love
Agatha Miller was already engaged to another man when she accepted a proposal of marriage from dashing army officer Archie Christie in 1912. It happened at the end of an evening when the couple had attended a Wagnerian concert performed by the Torquay Municipal Orchestra at the Pavilion. After their marriage on Christmas Eve 1914, the couple spent their wedding night at the Grand Hotel, Torquay.
