Princess Victoria took tea in the Garden Room
In 1833, Princess Victoria (who became Queen in 1837) had tea with Emma Keyse in The Garden Room of The Glen. In 1819, the infant princess was cared for by Emma Keyse's mother when the Royal Family were staying at Sidmouth. During this visit, Victoria's father the Duke of Kent died suddenly.
