Evidence For the Prosecution
At the trial of John Lee held at Exeter Assizes, Sergeant Nott was called by the prosecution and gave evidence lasting for a period of two-and-a-half hours. There were gasps of astonishment from on-lookers when Lee's defence counsel declined to ask any questions in cross-examination.
