The description suggests a paradox of neat orderliness interspersed with frenetic activity as crews test and carry out running repairs and adjustments to their craft.
This would be going on oblivious to the turmoil of spectators and visitors milling around enjoying the prelude to the racing spectacle. Or were the crews understandably showing off a little to their admirers?
